Integrated Audio System
A 505 Watt true 5.1 surround sound system, including a mammoth subwoofer, synched with four high-tech vibration transducers faithfully recreates the unique sound and physical vibrations of a high-powered race car. This, in combination with force-feedback and full-motion systems, provides an intense and realistic aural and tactile experience never before within reach of the enthusiast consumer.
High Definition Video System
Configurations ranging from the standard single 46-inch High Definition 1080p LCD screen to panoramic triple-panel displays allow total visual immersion. The LCDs offered have been selected specifically for exceptional contrast ratios, brightness and color saturation, deep blacks, fast reaction times and wide viewing angles.
Custom Racing Seat and Belts
The MP II Simulator's Racing Seat is a fiberglass composite shell design. Standard features include a full body support fiberglass shell with a black gel coating, removable cushion inserts, a four-point competition harness and leatherette high-wear patches. The standard seat accommodates up to a 38-inch waist size. A no-cost optional seat accommodates a waist size up to 44 inches.
Full-Motion Simulation
The CXC MP II Simulator is equipped with a highly advanced computer driven full-motion system using sophisticated electro-mechanical actuation. You’ll feel every sensation of the car you’re driving, be it the lightening-quick reflexes of a classic Lotus Seven, the thumping power of a vintage Cobra, a bounding sprint car’s dirt-flying slide, landing a jump in a desert truck or rally car or most dramatically, the outright violence of a modern F1 car.
Intensity is fully adjustable, but at maximum settings, jump on an F1 car’s gas pedal and acceleration will slam you back into the seat with every shift. Brake hard and you’ll pitch forward against your four-point safety harness. In a long sweeper, you’ll experience increasing side load and the nuances of lateral grip as your car dances on the edge of adhesion. These are tactile sensations that professional drivers feel and depend on – available to a degree never before possible in an affordable simulator.
Design and Construction
CXC racing simulators are individually constructed and assembled with space-age materials including laser-cut steel, billet aluminum, carbon fiber and titanium. Virtually all control systems are designed to be quickly adjustable without tools so the MP II Simulator can be set up to exactly match size and driving preferences.
Controls
Again, it’s all about feel. The MP II Simulator features a force-feedback steering system made exclusively for CXC to provide ultra-sensitive steering resistance and tactile feedback. Its high torque and responsiveness set
new standards in consumer racing simulation, good enough to test driver reaction and stamina levels. The result is stunning realism. Hit a bump, aquaplane on water, drop a wheel off in the dirt or just get aggressive with apex curbs, you’ll feel it all through a custom-made hand-stitched, suede- or leather-covered F1-style steering wheel equipped with eight user-programmable function buttons.
Twelve additional user-definable buttons are arrayed on the dash, along with audio systems controls and a status LCD, two tactile transducer knobs, an in-car radio jack for car-to-car (or internet) communications and a kill switch.
Shifting, when not operating in Automatic Mode, is with behind-the-wheel shifting paddles contoured to match the custom wheel and built to last. Or, if preferred or more appropriate to the selected car, optional six-speed (with reverse lock out) gated or sequential shifters may be used in combination with pressure-sensitive brake and progressive clutch pedal systems, both made with machined high-grade steel and are adjustable for travel & pressure.
Electronics Rack
The heart of the MP II lives in an electronics rack hidden in the base of the simulator, a purpose-built, leading edge simulation PC powered by a multi-core processor, with a high-end graphics card to drive either video display choice. It is mounted on rails for easy inspection or removal. All connections for controls and the motion system are made through a special connector system hidden along the edge of the base plate.
Multiplayer
Race your friends over a direct local network or via high-speed internet connections. You can compete in real-time with others on a selected track, whether they are set up next to you in a custom “Race Room,” in another city, another state or on another continent. Set up team strategies (or taunt other drivers!) using CXC’s optional Race Radios.
